348 Ate Marcy Celebrates with White Cross

Written by Treasurer, Weng Cutangco

We were welcomed with huge smiles and tight hugs. Ate Marcy chose to do a post-birthday celebration with the kids from White Cross.

It was a happy birthday celebration, indeed! The volunteers with their partner kids, enthusiastically participated in a cheese-ring-relay. Everyone ran as fast as they could to win the toys for the kids. The winning group finished with a score of 21, while the runner-up had 20. I told you, it was a close fight.

Everyone was then treated with a magic show. Thanks to Kuya Kobe who was very entertaining and amusing!

To recharge everyone’s energy, the team served Jollibee spaghetti and burger. A French Fries booth was also set up to delight the kids and the kids-at-heart. The snack time allowed the volunteers and kids to bond more.

Capping off the event, Ate Marcy and her loved ones distributed school supplies and snacks to the kids. To say that we had fun would be an understatement. The kids and volunteers sure had an enjoyable time. We even had a hard time bidding the kids goodbye.

“Babalik kami, don’t worry.” That’s what we heard from most of the first-time volunteers.
