195 Ate Jam Celebrates with Bahay Maria

Written by Core Leader, Rica Leyritana

Bahay Maria is a shelter for abandoned and surrendered young children from the poorest communities. It provides formal education for the children and teaches them to become God-loving, responsible children and model citizens.

Most of us think of celebrating our birthdays by wearing our best dresses, hanging out at the best place with our most loved ones and by receiving gifts. But Ate Jam and Ate Camille believe that there is a better way to celebrate your day and that is with the less privileged girls from the Bahay Maria Foundation.

By means of U! Happy Events, Ate Jam and Ate Camille were able to throw a birthday party filled with games, a magic show, story telling, dancing, food and gifts for the little girls of Bahay Maria. The cutest part of the celebration, however, was when the girls were given tiaras instead of birthday hats. Needless to say, the royal treatment provided by the celebrants and volunteers coupled with the tiaras made the girls feel that were indeed princesses.

Thank you also to the other volunteers for sharing your blessings with the little princesses of Bahay Maria. We believe that their smiles made your weekend worth it.

If you have the heart to share your blessings to kids especially those who are less privileged, why not celebrate your next birthday with them? To find out more, click www.uhappyevents.com/create-your-own-event. 🙂
