538 Ate Bea’s Mind Museum Tour with Metro World Child

Written by Core Team Leader, Andrei de Borja
It was a nice chilly Saturday when the 25 kids from Metro World Child were sponsored by Ate Bea to visit the Mind Museum. It was her birthday and she decided to celebrate it with these amazing kids.
The kids and the volunteers rallied together in Jollibee and bonded with each other through different games. At first, they were tasked to find each other according to the number placed on their IDs. Once they did, it was all fun when their next job was to dance to the hit song – Watch Me (Nae Nae) – with a very talented kid leading the way. Then as a group activity, they acted out certain scenes as a group. Everyone can’t help but laugh at the talent-level they’re trying to put in.
Once the games were done, the kids and the volunteers enjoyed their Jollibee Chicken Joys and Spaghetti as they chatted away – exchanging their likes, their interests, and their dreams.
The energy in the room was palpable. But by 9am, everyone had to start moving to finally go inside Mind Museum! The kids and the volunteers were greeted by Aedi, a talking robot, who laid out what everyone can expect inside.
Everyone roamed around the museum in their own groups. One group immediately went to the indominable T-Rex fossil to claim their “Kodak” moment. Another “Kodak” moment is also the static electricity ball – they gathered around, taking photos one at a time to get that hair raising moment captured on camera. Some groups relaxed inside the Planet Show, voiced by Tom Hanks. It was a learning moment as we took a brief journey in our universe.
One and a half hours later, call time was up and everyone gathered around the lobby to greet Ate Bea a Happy Birthday. With the help of Ate Bea’s friends, they distributed the gifts to the kids.
Even if some of the kids have already been to the Mind Museum before, it was different enough that they found it enjoyable still. The smiles on everyone’s faces just can’t be erased that day. It was a day fulfilled of giving and love.
Wouldn’t you want to put a smile on another kids’ face too? Create an event now and see what U! can do.
Testimonial of Ate Bea, sponsor:
This year, I decided to do something different for my birthday; and I must say, it was an incredible experience.
My friends and I enjoyed touring the Mind Museum with our new friends from Metro World Child. We all loved seeing the T-Rex Skeleton, playing with the static ball, and going back and forth the spinning tunnel! Seeing the kids roam around the museum with smiles on their faces made the day even more special.
I’m glad that through the event, everybody was able to have fun, and more importantly, learn more about science!
This was definitely a memorable birthday. Thank you, U! Happy Events!
