733 Aspire Philippines Summit 2016

It was another opportunity for us to showcase our NGO to the youth. For the first time, Aspire Philippines partnered with U! Happy Events.
Aspire Philippines is a startup that aims to develop and foster nation-building in today’s youth by conducting motivational talks, leadership trainings, and speech workshops to students and professionals all over Metro Manila. To date, they have conducted over 25 seminars and workshops since their inception last July 2015 with schools such as UP Diliman, Ateneo de Manila University, and De La Salle University. However, they desire to go beyond talks and give a chance for the youth to be actively engaged in spearheading change in the Philippines.
Their commitment to developing youth leaders taking collective action in any of their chosen advocacies, made possible this annual event called ASPIRE Philippines Summit 2016. The Summit was held last April 9, 2015 (Saturday), from 8AM to 6PM at GT Toyota, University of the Philippines – Diliman with the inaugural theme of “The Role of the Youth in Nation Building”.
The Summit had about 600 delegates that took time to learn more about several civil society groups/NGOs, as well as had the opportunity to participate in plenary sessions that had various resource speakers in the areas of social media, community engagement, and good governance.
I also was given an opportunity to share what we do and our goals for 5 minutes. I say that was enough time for them to be curious and visit our booth after.
