489 Appetite Magazine’s Feeding Program with Project Pearls

Written by Kuya Harvard
For the second year, sponsor Appetite Magazine took the time to provide a simple program for one of our partner beneficiaries. This time it was with our 3 and a half year feeding program partner, Project Pearls. Project Pearls aim to help the poorest of the poor children in the Philippines have a better life through feeding and educational programs. Pearls stand for Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, Smiles.
The morning’s program will be featured in Appetite Magazine under its charity section. This hopefully boosts support for the beneficiaries they feature monthly. Last year, community based Little Lights was in their June 2014 issue.
Our two hour activity consisted of a coloring contest, feeding program proper, bring me art game, gift giving and a whole lot of smiling pictures in between. The appetite team lead by its editor in chief, Ate Nina Daza Puyat prepared the meals which was by far the most popular part for the hungry little souls.
We look forward for year 3 next year. These exposures indeed help us create added awareness of how others can be part of a child’s better future.
