907 Ate Rosette Celebrates with International Teams Tender

Written by Core Team Leader, Ate Monica Molina
On February 4, 2017, Ate Rosette simply wanted to give back to the community. From the list of our many partner beneficiary organizations, Ate Rosette chose International Teams Tender (IT Tender).
IT Tender is an international organization, present in Europe, Asia, Middle East, North and South Africa, provides sustainable programs which aims to eventually end the cycle of poverty. Being a God-centered organization, it also aspires for spiritual transformation in all the communities it is present in.
Ate Rosette, along with her family and friends, took the time out of their busy Saturday afternoon to spend with the Children of IT Tender. The afternoon, of course, started with a prayer. It was then followed by a few games. One of the games, which focused in art allowed the children to be creative and imaginative. It was amazing what the children were able to come up with, with pieces of colored paper and a pair of scissors! But Ate Rosette, had another surprise- a magic show! Before ending the event, everyone shared a meal together and the children received gifts! The smiles on their faces definitely brightened up the afternoon.
Ate Rosette showed us that we neither need a reason nor an occasion to do so, we simply can. Through the event, the kids learned to use their imagination and creativity, things that, due to poverty, most of them are not able to do. Giving back to our community, can be done in many ways. Sharing an experience with children, allowing them to enjoy their childhood, leaves a positive impact in their lives and to the community.
