We’ve done a summit like these for the 6th time since inception here 6 years ago. The 4/14 movement started in the United States. Its main purpose is to reach, rescue, root and release the 4/14 generation to transform our nation and the world. The 4/14 Window refers to the demographic age group four to fourteen years old, which is most open and receptive to every form of spiritual and developmental input.
The theme of this summit this year is Prayer. We believe it is of the essence that children recognize the value of prayer. It is not only a means to connect with Jesus Christ but also a tool to evangelize and connect with other children. We were graced by Pastor Mark Rosacay, Associate Pastor for missions Lighthouse christian community in Alabang, to pound on these further.
There were a number of activities from 10-3PM for around 350 children and 150 adults last April 14, 2016. We started with Praise and Worship by Victory Greenhills youth. We also took time to pray for one another and others. Children with adults were tasked to pray for children at risk, children in broken families, children in Asian countries and children with health needs.
There were performers to inspire children. We had Kuya Zion Mallari from Right Start who sang using Ukelele and Lingap Bata Ministry Church of the Nazarene for a dance number.
While the adults had their track sessions in separate rooms (Media Track, Pastor and Missions Track, Education Track, Family Track, Holistic Children’s Ministry Track and Gen Y Track), the children engaged with the Superbook team. Here children watched an episode of Daniel, games, a puppet show by Ruther Urquia and singing.
It was a great opportunity for me to lead this summit with a great team behind my back. U! Happy Events invited 50 children from Metro World Child and 50 children from He Cares Foundation. 4/14 Pilipinas as a movement here has more than 20 Christian NGOs and church organizations under its umbrella.
