What did we accomplish on Day 1 at Cananga, Leyte? Please check links here:
It was day 2 and we got the rest we needed from yesterday’s two events with kids and mothers. Our team of 13 replicated what we did the previous day. The Jaro church of Zion was in a better shape. This place is viable for future activities for the church and the community.
It was a hot morning but the kids were still excited for our art activities. They were all present an hour before the set time. The kids team was eager to engage and teach them. Even though the venue was divided into two, this didn’t hinder the group in sharing the value of creativity and expression through box art and origami. All the kids received kits which contained materials for the day and for future use.
We then gathered everyone for a group photo and donation of goods. It was the best moment of our mission. To witness everyone smile, our team saw hope realized in them.
