This event was a timely treat for the Halloween. A throng of IBM Club volunteers visited Jesus Loves the Little Children Foundation recently to bring blessings and cheers. They were 60 Kuya and Ate while 30 scholars that attend Riversprings School joined us the early morning of October 13.
Some of our kids were shy at first but that quickly disappeared as soon as we got everyone acquainted with getting to know questions. After two heart-stopping games that involved competitive adults, we proceeded to our main activity, an art workshop for Halloween. The groups teamed up to assist the children to make different symbols of this yearly tradition. At the end, we had pumpkins, ghosts, witches and some unrecognizable characters. Maybe they were zombies or some sort of monster.
As we come to the end of a festive day, we re-gathered for packed meals and street food. Each one had mixed balls of fish, chicken and kikiam. The kids and volunteers alike love these too much, our core team missed out.
The IBM team lead by Ate Honey, also gave out baon packs for school and hunger meals for each of the 30 kids that participated.
